The Moraira area Moraira lies in a bay on the South Eastern coast of Spain. It has one of the best climates of continental Europe and is ideal for year round visiting. Cool sea breezes in summer and protected against the cold North winds in winter. The area remains exclusively for villa owners and holidaymakers who prefer the independent holiday. There are restaurants in abundance( 3 Michelin star-rated), shops, wineries, historic buildings and many annual fiestas and ritual celebrations, all watersports, golf, tennis, horse-riding, go-karts, walking, cycling, climbing, parasailing, Terra Mitica theme park. Moraira has evolved from being a modest farming and fishing village to an extremely picturesque low key holiday resort amidst spectacular coastal and mountain landscapes. Moraira is centred on the impressive marina, fishing harbour and numerous shops and restaurants. Moraira has succeeded in retaining its core personality and has a distinctly traditional feel to it. You will not find high rise development nor will you even find many hotels (the ones there are so low key they’re hard to find!!) Most of the town property is in an elevated location taking advantage of the breathtaking scenery. Villas, townhouse, fincas and luxurious apartments are in abundance. There is an excellent variety of bars, shops and restaurants . Seafood and traditional Valencian regional cuisine feature prominently on most menus. Both main beaches are superb for safe family bathing. El Portet or La Ampolla. with soft sand and stunning views of the surrounding mountains. Both beaches have beach bars and restaurants which are open late. Along the coast you will find many other coves and bays. Some watersports are on offer in Moraira with more available in nearby Calpe. For Costa Blanca based Spanish property there are few locations to rival Moraira.
